hahahahaha gusm

I’m giving up and signing out, later punk!

she should have at least used a Perfecto styled jacket

Two hundred and fifty fucking dollars for this piece of shit.

People who sell fake ‘punk’ clothing in Etsy should be walloped.

this particular number was $249. until it SOLD OUT. meaning somebody BOUGHT IT.

I don’t know who I find more repugnant—the people selling this ‘anarcho punk vest’ for 249$ or the people shelling out that much for it. Do these people not understand that buying a pre-made vest completely defeats the point of having one in the first place??

To people with no connection to underground punk, this is just a cool fashion accessory/novelty. The same way that you see celebrities wearing punk shirts…their stylist picked it out for them—They have no idea what it is, or isn’t.

What I really don’t understand is how people can wear something and not even bother to ask ‘where does this come from?’ ‘what does this word mean?’ ‘does this have any special significance?’ ‘who made this?’ or anything along those lines—but this is a broader issue that goes beyond random people wearing punk clothes just because they look ‘cool’.

All that said, I do admit I’m wrinkling my nose at people wearing something just because it looks like a cool ‘edgy’ novelty. I’m also laughing at myself—here I am feeling extremely protective of these clothes and subcultural markers and, hell, I don’t even like patches or studded clothes!

I, too, find myself annoyed with this despite my lack of wearing anything music-related besides band t-shirts.
